In 2022, our firm celebrated its 25th anniversary. As we considered planning for the next 25 years, we took a long look at the identity elements of our firm and decided to undergo an update in light of the following:

  • The retirement of Co-Founding Partner, George Menden, in 2018.
  • The addition of our tax controversy group in 2019.
  • The addition of new partners in 2020 and 2021.
  • Moving to new offices in 2023.

Accordingly, we are moving to a new identity profile, centered around “MF.” This will pay homage to our co-founding partners, George Menden and Larry Freiman, while moving the focus away from the full name of “MendenFreiman.”

At the same time, we want to continue to focus on what we feel are the distinctive qualities of our firm – a collaborative approach to being trusted counsel for our clients, while planning for, preserving, and protecting the future of our clients’ legacies.

New Logo

Our new logo is a graphical representation of “MF” designed to represent elements of our past, present, and future.  The left side of the “M” is unseen, indicating movement away from the Menden era, while the chevron formed by the upper portion of the “M” honors George’s past and present service to the firm.  The right side of the “M” and the “F” share a common downward leg, indicating continued grounding and unity in our statement of strategic purpose.  Finally, the downward leg and center arm of the “F” are slanted, indicating movement toward the future as we continue to expand, refine, and deepen our relationships, expertise, and counsel.

New Tagline

We have also updated our tagline.  While “Your Future is Here” captured our future-oriented approach, we want to refine it to better include what we do and how we help our clients.  We feel our new tagline, “Empower Your Future,” succinctly captures our focus.

New Website and Emails

Finally, with the shift to “MF” (and to avoid common spelling challenges with the prior domain name), we have developed a new website that can be found at a new domain.  MFcounsel.com is the new home of our website, and we are also moving to MFcounsel.com emails for our attorneys and staff. (Don’t worry, old emails will still work for the foreseeable future).

We are well aware that none of this would be possible without your ongoing support and loyalty.

On behalf of the Partners and the MF team, we thank you and are excited to continue our journey with you.
